Security of Spain was founded in Spain in 2004 by Company owner Daren Whitby who started off as a traditional bench locksmith in London England more than 30 years ago. During the last these years, Daren has progressed with the trade and the skills needed to maintain a tremendous knowledge of lock manufacturing and its forever changing face that we all use in today’s security conscious world. In all Daren spent 18 years working for “Approved M.L.A. (Master Locksmiths Association) listed companies.
During his history as a locksmith in London Daren has been called upon by many prestigious “Blue Chip” sites for his skill and knowledge, all of whom put Daren through their own Security clearance and training on Company Procedures.
Since moving to Spain and starting Security of Spain, Daren has been working alongside other locksmiths on the coast. In 2014 Daren decided to open his own Locksmith business and branch out to have his own team of English locksmiths on the Costa del Sol. His reputation for reliability, affordability and his high class of workmanship means everything to him and the company. His experience in this field he is passing on to his team who all work under the same Security of Spain ethics.

Daren has worked for Her Majesty’s Palace and Fortress, The Tower of London and was responsible for servicing and repairing locks at the Tower of London working on both historical locks and modern ASSA suited locks undertaking a number of difficult and complex projects. Daren has worked in such environments that require security clearance of a very high standard.
